# Data Deletion Request - Royal Vet Center

## How to Request Data Deletion

Royal Vet Center respects your privacy and provides you with full control over your personal data. You can request deletion of your data in two ways:

### Option 1: Delete Your Data Directly in the App (Recommended)

1. Open the **Royal Vet Center** app on your mobile device
2. Navigate to your **Profile** or **Settings** section
3. Tap on **"Delete My Account"** or **"Delete My Data"**
4. Confirm your request when prompted
5. Your data will be permanently deleted within **30 days**

### Option 2: Submit a Manual Request

If you prefer, or if you cannot access the app, you can submit a data deletion request by emailing us:

**Subject Line**: "Data Deletion Request - [Your Phone Number]"

**Required Information**:
- Your registered phone number
- Your name (as registered in the app)
- Reason for deletion (optional)

We will respond to your request within **30 days** and confirm once your data has been deleted.

## What Data Will Be Deleted

When you request data deletion, the following information will be **permanently removed**:

✅ **Account Information**
- Your phone number
- Authentication credentials and session tokens
- Account profile and preferences

✅ **Personal Information**
- Your name
- Saved delivery addresses (zone, street, building, unit numbers)
- Address labels and location coordinates

✅ **App Usage Data**
- Usage analytics and interaction patterns
- Device information and session logs
- Error logs and crash reports

✅ **Preferences**
- Language settings
- App preferences and settings

## What Data Will Be Retained

For **legal and regulatory compliance**, we may retain certain information for a limited period:

⚠️ **Booking Records** - Retained for up to **7 years**
- Booking dates, times, and service details
- Payment transaction records (for accounting and tax purposes)
- Service delivery records (required by veterinary regulations)

⚠️ **Legal Compliance Data** - Retained as required by law
- Records required by Qatar's data protection laws
- Information necessary for dispute resolution or legal proceedings

**Note**: Retained data is anonymized where possible and stored securely with restricted access. It cannot be used to identify you personally after your account deletion.

## After Deletion

Once your data deletion request is processed:

- You will receive a confirmation email (if you provided one)
- You will be logged out of all devices
- You will no longer be able to access your booking history
- You will need to create a new account to use Royal Vet Center services again
- Your phone number will become available for re-registration after 90 days

## Alternative: Data Download Before Deletion

Before deleting your data, you may want to **download a copy** of your information:

- We will provide your data in a portable format (JSON/PDF) within 30 days
